Embassy Theatre
study trips
Now accepting reservations for the 2010-11 school year.
Taking a bow on the Embassy stage, students act out history and learn how a community chose to save the historic theatre from the wrecking ball.

*Each two-hour study trip teaches students about a real-life connection between civic responsibility and the arts.
*Program modules address state standards in the arts, social studies and mathematics, making this trip a refreshing, informative and constructive use of precious class time.
*Even though aligned to Indiana state standards for third grade, activities are appropriate for groups grade 2-5.
*Trips offered for groups of 12 or more.
Touring and discovering the amazing variety of artwork imbedded in the walls, ceilings and floors of the Embassy Theatre reinforces the artistic value of the building itself. Taking the stage to reenact the history that led to the Embassy being saved helps students understand the responsibilities and choices that are made when citizens consider choices affecting an entire community.

Pre-trip activities and vocabulary lists help teacher and students get the most out of their visit to a home-town treasure and the largest historic theater in Indiana. To register, simply call the Embassy Box Office at 260.424.5665. Transportation support funding may be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
